The foreign-born (FB) population increased from 1,258 in 1970 to 1,369 in 2010. That was an increase of 8.8 percent. The foreign-born share changed from 1.6 percent to 1.0 percent.
The share of the overall population that was native-born (NB) increased by 68.1 percent.

The first chart below shows the three population change factors for three periods adjusted for annual average amounts. Natural change (B-D) was the primary factor in population increase in the first two periods, and NDM was largest in the most recent period.
The second chart shows the same data but with an adjustment to reflect births to immigrants shifted to NIM. In it, the relative order of impact among the three factors in adding population remained unchanged.
